About Our Founder & President

Matt Sussman is President of American Insurance Planners, Inc. (“AIP”), and holds the CLTC (“Certification in Long-Term Care”) designation. Matt is certified to conduct Continue Educational Courses for the Pennsylvania Department of Insurances and has taught hundreds of insurance producers across the country. 
Matt was a two term member of a publicly held long term care insurance company Advisory Council, and currently consultants for a long term care insurance carrier where he has helped create and market a product which was designed to help insure individuals who have been unable to secure ltci coverage due to certain health conditions. In addition, Matt is a member of the Advisory Council for the National Advisory Center for Short Term Care Information.

Prior to starting American Insurance Planners, Inc. in 2003, Matt was the Director of Sales with Penn Treaty Network America and following his tenor with PTNA, Matt became a top Field Sales Representative for Genworth Financial Assurance (formerly GE Financial Assurance).

Matt first experienced the power of insurance when he joined his father “In bring your child to work day” back in middle school. Matt comes from a second generation of insurance professionals and is proud to continue protecting family’s future with the power of insurance.
